European Film Awards

The short film is a format which allows creative experiments, provocation, and playfulness. For many film makers, this is where their career starts. The European Film Academy Short Film Award is an initiative of the European Film Academy in association with Kortfilmfestivalen and a series of other renowned festivals throughout Europe. One of the winning short films will win a nomination for the European Film Academy Short Film Award 2009, to be presented at the 22nd European Film Awards in December 2009 in the Ruhr Metropolis, Germany.
