By bus from Oslo to Grimstad
If you are going by bus, there are several direct conncetions between Oslo and Grimstad. The busses depart from Oslo Central Station and the fare takes approx 4 hours and 20 minutes. The following bus companies take you to Grimstad:
Please mark that all buses from Oslo stop at Øygårdsdalen bus stop, just outside of Grimstad. From this bus stop it takes 15 to 20 minutes to walk to the centre of town. Alternative, there are local buses passing Øygårdsdalen bus stop 3 minutes past every half hour (07:03, 07:33, 08:33, etc.) Monday to Friday, from 7:03 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. On Saturdays and Sundays the local buses pass Øygårdsdalen 3 minutes past every hour, from 9:03 a.m. to 3:03 a.m. on Saturdays and from 11:03 a.m. to 1:03 a.m. on Sundays. If you prefer to go by taxi from the bus stop, you can call +47 37 00 47 00.
From Sandefjord Lufthavn, Torp you can go by bus
If you arrive at Sandefjord Lufthavn, the best alternative for travelling to Grimstad is by bus. From the airport you have to take a taxi a few kilometres to where the bus Sørlandsekspressen stops. From here it takes about 3 hours to Grimstad.
