Durrës or Die follows the protagonist, only present through narration, throughout Albania while searching for Lilith, mythological figure and "mother of all human beings”, suggesting a feminist reading. The loose framework of a sci-fi story is the basis to think out loud about future narratives and social utopia, and soon unfolds in an associative travel diary about gaze, love and personal dreams. Quotes range from the romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley to italian DJ Gigi D’Agostino, "looking for things, searching for things" to finally get drown in a saturated sunset of a late summer evening in the port of Durrës - or in terms of sci-fi: a metaphor of infinity.

Nina Kerschbaumer is a filmmaker based in Zurich. Her ongoing interests are documentary moments within the moving image. With a background in Fine Arts, she mainly works with analogue film and the method of deconstruction in order to address relationships of power of and in images, and consequently the discourse of their irretrievable entanglement of pre-existing ones. Her passion is driven not only from an experimental approach towards filmmaking, but also from a political one, longing for hybrids diverse in both form and content.
She has completed studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and at Central Saint Martins College in London.
